Three more with Love birds!

Some campfire fun at the cottage last summer.

My sweet Sarah last January.  We had a mild spell!
This is based on the Dec. 2010 sketch from SBC calendar.

This is based on the January 2011 sketch from the SBC calendar.
Phtotos were taken in 2008 when we made a very long road trip home from Sault Ste. Marie...with a screaming Sarah. She literally screamed the whole ride home.  It was horrendous.  It was sheer terror.
It made me understand road rage, and suicide for just those long 14 hours....when it should have taken us around 8 hours to do that drive.
Little did we know then that she was gluten intolerant, and in constant pain. :0(
I never want to do another drive like this as long as I live, in this life or in any other.
It took me this long to be able to face these pictures and scrap them. lol

Fancy Pants Love Birds

My January DT kit from the Nook is the lovely Fancy Pants Love Birds line!
I love it!
Here is what I've put together so far, and I know there's more to come!

for this one I silhouette cut around the photo and popped up their feet with several foam dots to give some dimension.  Irl this looks pretty cool.
A very simple layout, the paper really works for itself.

This one is on the back of the above layout.
The close up here shows my new irock at use. :0)
Love this cool new tool!

This was the first layout I did, again, the paper just kinda did it all for me. I used a Harmonie clear acrylic that also came in the kit.  Stunning stuff their clear acrylics are!  I inked with some distress inks to help this pop a bit on the light paper.  Some machine stitching to pleat the sheer ribbon and an inked Prima butterfly with a few blossoms from the gorgeous Maya Road flower ribbon finish this one off.
Thanks for popping by!  I'll be back before the month is through with  more from this kit I'm sure!

Merry January!

I picked up some Merry January paper at The Scrapping Nook last month, and I've been having so much fun playing with them!
My baby Brewster.  Don't know what I'd do without him, he's my sanity a lot of days. lol
Love his snowy snout when he's been out playing!

I got together with some of my friends from highschool this past Christmas!  I haven't seen these girls since we graduated back in 1996.  Wow, it was wonderful to see them all again, and if only a few more of the girls could have made it, and Perkins still had the casear salad in a bread bowl on the menu, it would have been perfect! lol

My sweet Sarah her first Christmas wearing the bonnet my mom knit for her. Look at those huge BLUE eyes!  They were quite the suprise after two brown eyed boys!

I also picked up this incredible Tim Holtz snowman die, and I'm in love!  I have a good start on my Christmas cards for 2011 now! :0)
This die is definately addicitive!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you don't have any Merry January yet, check out The Scrapping Nook HERE
Have a Merry January!

Getting Caught up...

I am so very behind...but as my brilliant brother-in-law taught me years ago, the sooner you get behind, the longer you have to catch up....so really, 2011 is looking up. HA!

I want to share some DT work remaining from 2010 at the Nook.

This one is a very simple one with some Fancy Pants Happy Together.
My three little muchkins, the last walk-through in our old house, before the new owners came in.
I used to measure the boys on this door jam. I was so sad to leave it behind.

And some much loved Websters!!!  The Wonderfall collection is STUNNING,
as is all Websters!

This is an older picture, and I love the perspective of it, and of course Charlie's
big blonde curls!

loved the journaling cards in this wonderfall line...so beautiful! and the trims!  Wow! They're simply stunning.
To find WONDERFALL click HERE.
Then I saw this stunning Pink Paislee in the store, and I couldn't resist, so I picked it up and the pinks in it were perfect with these pics of my Sarah last winter.  See all those chicken pox?  This was round THREE.  The boys both had it before her. Sigh. lol
And some Bo Bunny Winter Joy
Yes, I realize that my "a" had fallen off  before I took the pic..but I didn't see that until I was editing the pictures after I'd sent the layout to the store. Oops.
This is a special picture for me.  Klaudie is sitting  in the glider here in this picture, on Christmas Eve, and little did we know then that this would be his last Christmas with us.
He passed away unexpectedly on Mother's Day through the night.  I miss him so much.  I'm so glad to have this picture of him last Christmas.

I'm feeling slightly more caught up now. lol

I will share some Merry January Tomorrow!

Happy New Year...5 days late.

Happy New year!
I have so much catching up to do, but I think I'm finally getting my feet under me, after our flood, basement renos, back to school (with some volunteering this year!), some sickies, and Christmas...it doesn't sound like much, but I've been hopping.
Tomorrow I will have a bunch of 2010 DT stuff up from the Nook, to finish off that year. lol
Hopefully on the 7th, I'll spread some Merry January around too!
Don't forget about the Nook crop starting this Friday and running for the full week!  It's the Nook's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
I'm so excited, and the festivities are going to be so much fun!  Make sure you check out what's going on over there. I'm sure Janice will run a sale, and there will be prizes!
