It's been ages since I blogged here, and I don't even have anything creative to share, except a bit of 'creative writing'.
In writing to a friend this morning, after typing all of this out, I realized this is something I will want to look back on in years to come, and someday my kids might even be amused by mom's experiences in attempting to pull off a memorable family Christmas for Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-65101405619152650032015-01-09T20:28:00.000-05:002015-06-02T13:39:20.884-04:00Happy New Year...It's 2015???Welcome to 2015! How did I get from January 2, 2012 to January 9, 2015? Good Grief! It's been an absolute whirlwind!
I'm hoping that maybe this is my year to finally spend some time blogging again.
I still hope to get some creative paper crafting stuff up here, but to be totally honest, I haven't actually done much of anything terribly creative since I last blogged. EEEK! That's Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-5784158959468474752012-01-02T15:59:00.001-05:002012-01-02T15:59:46.255-05:00Outdoor Rink
Wow, it's January 2nd, and this is my SECOND blog post of the year....look out! I'm on fire! lol
My ONLY complaint with Fancy Pants is regarding their alphas. I LOVE this Winterland line, BUT they give you so few e's. I really wanted to use the word SkatE, or icE, or even HockEy in the title for this one, but I had no E's left! lol
Hence the title, Outdoor Rink...see,Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-84824518316313772252012-01-01T19:03:00.000-05:002012-01-01T19:03:00.948-05:00Happy New Year!
It's hard to believe that 2011 is gone, and we're now in 2012!!
I hope everyone had an Awesome Christmas, and some fun with New Years Celebrations as well.
Now, since it's officially January, I can share some of my Design work for The Srapping Nook!
I was so lucky to get the Fancy Pants Winterland line to work with this month, and I have completed at least 5 layouts so far with it! :0)Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-47756163397142657712011-12-27T20:22:00.001-05:002011-12-27T20:22:25.529-05:00More fun with some Timmy products!I have been collecting some more Tim Holtz stuff over the holidays. I can't stop playing with the stuff!
Sorry for the lousy colour on all of these.
But tonight was my chance to upload,
and I wanted to get them done.
This one is using a few different stamp sets, the Tim Holtz banners, and the rose is from his new pinecone die. That little tiny dress from charm, is the Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-854457458570357942011-12-16T19:52:00.000-05:002011-12-03T19:58:56.662-05:00December Designs Scrapping Nook

My November kit from the Nook was the stunning Little Black Dress by Basic Grey.
LOVED this line, and it made some lovely non-traditional Christmas Cards too!

Tim Holtz Gave to me....
(Be ever so glad that you can't actually hear me singing...)
Another tag I couldn't hope to re-create!
But i tried anyway. I was in lack of all 4 dies he used.
I didn't have the fragmented doll figurine, or the most incredible new tissue. I SERIOUSLY need to get my paws on that ASAP!!!
And I didn't have the stamp he used for background either..and noJillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-11441373894531895192011-12-11T19:00:00.001-05:002011-12-11T19:12:01.662-05:00On the 11th day of Christmas....Tim Holtz gave to me....
A tag i couldn't even hope to reproduce. lol
I can't find my shrink plastic, I killed my Ranger heat gun, and I'm sad...even moreso becuase there is only ONE TAG LEFT!
Sigh.
Okay, enough whining.
Here's what I came up with.
I don't have these stamps. again.
I can't find the shrink plastic, and I'm using a hot glue melting pot as a UTEE Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-56943144030377289832011-12-10T11:05:00.001-05:002011-12-10T11:23:37.468-05:00On the 10th day of Christmas...
Tim Holtz gave to me....
Another Wickedly Awesome tag!
I LOVE this technique of making the 'mercury glass' ornaments with the tape transfer technique, and his gorgeous facets. This could easily be done with fragments too!
In the absence of his alpha parts, I used an old metal sticker that says "Joy" and painted it black, sanded to distress, rubbed with walnut stainJillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-83587169188116838312011-12-09T21:08:00.001-05:002011-12-09T21:20:59.582-05:00December 9th tag
Tim's amazing day 9 tag.
I can't find this evergreen die to save my life, BUT I did get my painty little paws on the Halloween Candlelight fright die!!
My background tags, just messing around with his awesome rusted enamel technique
Okay, I do believe these two are my favourite....the one on the right being my very most favourite. I didn't have an alpha I loved for Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-65586885879677030092011-12-08T21:35:00.001-05:002011-12-08T21:43:22.653-05:00On the 7th and 8th days of Christmas...These are the tags I made...
Day 7I'm not in love with this one. How I wish I had his holly die, (I freehand drew my holly and scissor cut them out), and his stamps for this. I made do with a very very old SU! Crackle background stamp..which I have always loved, but for this tag, his 'jack frost' stamp as I call it rocks! I also improvised with the sentiment, and infact Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-89900397765529827292011-12-06T10:15:00.001-05:002011-12-06T10:18:29.969-05:00On the 6th Day of Christmas...Tim Holtz gave to me.....
and this is how mine turned out...
Amazing how much different colours can change the look eh?
And i realize I adhered my bottom portion in the opposite direction. Oh well. lol
Thanks for looking!

Day 4
I love love love Tim's incredible tag for day 4 and i actually had most of the stuff for it.
I didn't have his distress stains in blues though...or picket fence. So this is how I did the background.
I smooshed a few bluey coloiur on my craft sheet and then added a few pounces of snow cap paint dauber Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-41418870060949206672011-12-03T19:32:00.001-05:002011-12-03T19:50:47.354-05:00Tim Holtz Tags!!
Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas are something I look forward to every year.
I actually get up before 6am and get to work right away the first 12 days in December to play along with Tim! I've had blogging issues, but I finally figured a way around my problems, so I can share my tags!
Day One first attempt.
I used a Maya Road keyboard chain for the sentiment, but I didn't like all Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-33981561090977515122011-07-09T05:57:00.000-04:002011-07-09T05:57:00.697-04:00June 2011 DT layouts for the Nook!I'm still playing Catch up! My gorgeous kit for June was Teresa Collins, Timeless. It's soft and pretty, and was so much fun to play with!
My daughter at almost one year old, and her Great Aunt Sylvia...who she got her middle name from . :0)
An attempt at a more masculine one with this girly kit. I used Snow storm Shimmerz Vibes to splatter across the black. I like how Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-45799994486257305702011-07-08T15:55:00.000-04:002011-07-08T15:55:13.220-04:00May DT Layouts
Wow!! How did I get THIS behind??? lol
My DT kit for May from The Scrapping Nook was from The Girls Paperie...Kitch! I LOVED this collection, it's bright, yet soft. I had so much fun playing with it, and I still have some scraps that will find their way to cards yet!
This is an old picture, but I love it.
This is with my kit, but is a lift of Karen Mercurio. ;0)&Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-46358669570207336502011-05-03T18:47:00.000-04:002011-05-03T18:47:46.304-04:00ChanteuseThere are only a few kits still available in The Nook Store!!

I have found that I can't leave a kit until I feel like I've used every last scrap and this past weekend I forced myself to play with stuff OTHER than kit stuff!! :0)
It felt good to scrap with stash, and some new stuff from SCRAPFEST, which was even better AGAIN this yearJillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-46976904525000660692011-04-18T11:49:00.000-04:002011-04-18T11:49:08.979-04:00Dutch Mustard Soup mmmm....My regular DT kit in April was Jilly Bean Soup Dutch Mustard Soup. This is a kit jam packed with awesomeness. You get loads of CS, so much pretty paper, and lots of stickers to coordinate, even the Bo Bunny buttons (stunning!) and if That's not enough, the BO BUNNY VICKI B STAMPS!!!
Definately worth the $30, run to the Nook now to see if they have any left...I think there were 4 last time I looked. I've Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14848990212425004202noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5142312178487337755.post-37897077798447089742011-04-18T11:35:00.000-04:002011-04-18T11:35:16.109-04:00March DT Stuff!Wow, am I a BAD blogger or what?? Trying to catch up here after apparently too much slacking. lol
In March I was sent the 3Bugs in a Rug Dawson goodness to play with! It was nice to shake it up a bit!
I had so much fun cutting into these papers, and they make short work of some super fast and simple kids cards!
Plain and simple, love these pics of my little man with the deer. I was sent "The Proper Gentleman" by Graphic 45. Love love love this line, and as you can see it doesn't have to be masculine. I'm having some internet issues, so rather than lose the whole post, I'll cut my losses and be back later with the other 2 layouts. lolFor now this is the sneak of February.
