Wow, has it been a crazy busy month!!!
My amazing niece, who's currently residing in Dubai with her new hubby, came home to Canada to get married this month! I was responsible for all the flowers for the wedding, save the church flowers...and myself and all 3 of our kids were in the wedding party! Can you say crazy? lol It was fabulous, and I'm sad it's over. Marlene was the most beautiful Bride I've ever laid eyes on, and it was wonderful to meet Vishal, her new hubby! He's one of the family now, that's for sure!!! I'm still hoping and praying like crazy that they will soon be here to live...maybe next door to me? LOL
Okay, so the wedding was on the 15th, and then Sarah's birthday was yesterday on the 25th, and FINALLY last night and for a little bit today, I GOT TO SCRAP! YAY!!!
I've been working for 3 weeks or so on layouts without pics for an album for Marlene and Vishal, that I dropped pics into and gave to them the day after they wed, and they now have that with them in Dubai. I'm also JUST finished another minialbum for my DH's cousin who is getting married this June. I'm so excited to finally do some layouts for my own album, in 12X12! Here's what I've done so far. They're a lot less busy than mine have been lately, lots more white space, but i'm good with that. They're done! lol

NSD creations!
Time to share some of the stuff I did at various NSD crops and classes!!
First, I'd like to post the cover of my Maya Road butterfly album that I created at a class I took at Destination Create...a retreat put on by The Scrapping Nook, and taught by Caroline, the co-owner of Maya Road If you ever have the opportunity to take one of Caroline's classes, just do it!! She's fabulous! I felt like I'd known her my whole life, you just feel so welcome and comfortable with her! I have a picutre to post later too...if I'm brave enough...I'm not lookin' so hot in it! LOL
Isn't it awesome? It was a fabulous class!! Thank you to the girls at the Nook for orchestrating DC and getting Caroline here for a few fabulous classes!! Not that she'll be reading, but if you are Caroline, thank you so much for a great time at your class!! It was well worth the day trip from KW!!!
On Friday night, i made this, specifically to take with me, since my sister Karen called to remind me to bring any altered MR goodies I might have..and I realized that everythign I've altered of theirs has been given away as gifts! {SHOCK!!}
Houses, altered albums, altered tins...not with me any more!!
So I whipped up this heart box that I have had for a few years, and promptly forgot it at home. LOL
Everything on here is Maya Road, with the exception of the roses, which I made myself, the Inque Boutique stamps, and the prima leaves.
Click on any of these images to see more detail..
Now to show a few layouts for the crops I attended! :)
and a card

Happy May FIRST!
Happy May first everyone!
Tomorrow is NSD National Scrapbooking Day!
I'm part of many message boards that will be hosting crops and celebrations this weekend, it's going to be great! I'm also going to take a class from Caroline of Maya Road on Saturday night! I'm sooo excited! The Scrapping Nook in Fonthill does a retreat each spring called Destination Create, and while I'm not able to go for the weekend, I get to take in a class, and I'm pumped about it!
I will also be hanging out at The Paper Passion, where I'm hosting a challenge in their crop! I am putting up a RAK for one lucky participant of my challenge, so come on over and join us! Today is also the day they announce their new Guest Designer at TPP, and I'm excited to see who that is!
I'll definately be popping in on the other boards I love as well!
Hope you have a great NSD weekend!
