Chanteuse

There are only a few kits still available in The Nook Store!!
Definately check out Jennifer's Blog later this week.  She has done some INCREDIBLE layouts  and cards with this kit, and I'm sure she'll be sharing them there!  You can also pop into the Nook Gallery for some inspiration!
This one shows off the new Marianne Creatables Morocco birdcage, bird of paradise, and the foliage from the frame set that is currently out of stock.

I used some of this, my favourite Prima Trim from my stash for this one.

This is a 12" flocked paper that I've cut to 6X12" and folded in half to make the base with.

Just messin' around

I have been back in my groove lately, and even working outside my DT kits for the Nook! :0)

I will have May Reveals for the Nook shortly!  You might want to head to the store and check out The Girls Paperie Kitch collection....Yum!!

I was using up some old AND new on this one!  Prima paper, MR flower trim, Prima butterflies, and Bosskut die cut.  See those little tags sticking out?  They're from K&Co at least 5 years ago.  They came in a little chinese food container along with about 9000 others! lol

This is the new Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden  paper....it's gorgeous!  I did this layout for the April sketch challenge at the Nook, and picked up the paper and stunning trims there as soon as the paper came in store! I love the softness of it!

The boys were incredibly lucky to get to play a hockey game at Ricoh Coliseum Home of the Marlies, last month!  While we were in Toronto we made our first visit as a family to the CN Tower!  We were so fortunate to have fabulous weather!  Most of April was overcast and rainy, and indeed the day following this trip we were back to rain, it was perfect timing.
I have to admit, while I loved looking out the windows, and being on the observation deck outside, I wasn't too eager to jump onto the glass floor! lol  My kids on the other hand were completely FEARLESS!  They loved every second, and I struggled like you wouldn't believe to let them walk all over it, but they had their experience, I have my pictures, and hopefully we never have to do that part again. lol

I want to send a special Thank You to Gillian from the Nook for the "gaggle of goodies" that helped me complete this fun layout!
I still have to find my fine point black sharpie to journal though. lol

And some cards with the new Nellie Snellen dies!
These puppies are an AWESOME Value for the money, and they are in store now at
Also, check out the Marianne Creatables dies (hoping mine arrive today!)

These two are with the Eastern Ovals.
I can't remember the name of this set, but I love them, and i'm calling them beaded ovals. lol  They're out of stock, these guys literally FLEW out of the store, but I'm hoping that they will be re-stocked!

I got this osterich stamp at ScrapFest!  I believe it's a "My Next Stamp" Stamp.

The rest of my 'ketchup'

Okay, this past week was the April Crop at THE NOOK and I actually SCRAPPED...and not JUST with DT kit's either!!
I have found that I can't leave a kit until I feel like I've used every last scrap and this past weekend I forced myself to play with stuff OTHER than kit stuff!! :0)
It felt good to scrap with stash, and some new stuff from SCRAPFEST, which was even better AGAIN this year than it has been in the past...how that can even be, I'm not really sure, but it was!

Okay, so from the Nook Crop challenges, my stash, and ScrapFest purchases, results the following!
From Jenn's splatter challenge...LOVE paint splatter, her tutorial rocks.
And I'm now addicted.

Gary's 8th birthday party...I'm so behind.
He turned 9 last month.

Loved Charlie's layout so much, I had to do one for Gary.
I blame Jennifer 100% for my new splatter addiction.

Not feeling this one, but I wanted these pics in Sarah's album, and the papers seemed to work so well with her sweater.  Oh well.  You can't love them all, right? lol

I was in love with this one in my head...but then it didn't translate to paper quite like I'd hoped.
Again, at least it's done.

Super simple, it's quite a lovely yellow irl, but the weather hasn't been good for photographing.

Another really simple one.
More paint splatter.  All Jenn's fault.
I wanted to journal on the bare space in the photo.
Not too sure yet how much I like this one...

Okay, so that's it for now.  My goal to blog once weekly...
Wish me luck with that. lol

Dutch Mustard Soup mmmm....

My regular DT kit in April was Jilly Bean Soup Dutch Mustard Soup.  Mmmm....Love the earthy colours in this line!

I'm going to knock out some cards with this yet too...I picked up some WICKED dies at Scrapfest that are totally new to me....and guess who's bringing them in???
You will soon be able to find Nellie Snellen dies at THE NOOK!  WOO HOO...Seriously, you're going to love these puppies...I hope to get a few cards done this week with them, and my scraps from the soup!  I can't wait to share. :)

April 2011 Nook kit!

Definately worth the $30, run to the Nook now to see if they have any left...I think there were 4 last time I looked. I've done all of this and still have tons left to work with, and intend to make a bunch of cards. :0)
While you're there make sure to add the 12" sheet of chipboard, I did, and I don't regret it!
click here to see the kit!

March DT Stuff!

Wow, am I a BAD blogger or what??  Trying to catch up here after apparently too much slacking. lol
In March I was sent the 3Bugs in a Rug Dawson goodness to play with!  It was nice to shake it up a bit!
I had so much fun cutting into these papers, and they make short work of some super fast and simple kids cards!

Plain and simple, love these pics of my little man with the deer.  He's right at home anywhere with animals...a chip off the old momma block. lol

You can see here, it's not all Dino's and kids stuff....you can really use this line so many ways.   And I'm still in love with my Irock! :0)  I centred these punched flowers with Irock gems.  So easy peasy, and a big impact!

These tickets were perfect for these pics!

I just so happened to have the most perfect photo for the dinosaur paper too!  LOVE it when it all comes together like that!

Some more Quick and easy cards!

February DT layouts for The Nook!!

This is one of three layouts I did for The Scrapping Nook for February!  I was sent "The Proper Gentleman" by Graphic 45.  Love love love this line, and as you can see it doesn't have to be masculine.
I'm having some internet issues, so rather than lose the whole post, I'll cut my losses and be back later with the other 2 layouts. lol
For now this is the sneak of February.
