The Great Ribbon Rave

I'm participating in a contest over at Savvy N' Sassy and I have completed my first three weeks of challenges.
Thought I'd share them here. :0)
week one

week two

week three

There is always a ribbon challenge and then a seperate scrappy challenge, both to be completed in the same layout.   So far, we've had a colour, a sketch and an inspiration challenge...and the ribbon challenges have been to use 4+ ribbons, make ribbon flowers, and make ribbon bows.
This last one was an ad inspiration, and it kinda got away on me. lol
It will go home to my dad this weekend, as this is his baby, Maylee.

Thanks for looking!

EXCITING NEWS!!

I have some VERY Exciting news!  In a silly sort of way, I just discovered today that I've been chosen to be on the Kiki-Art design team!!!   This is my very first manufacturer's DT position, and I'm totally PUMPED!  I cannot wait to get my hands into some of their product and play!  The best part is that it is a relatively new CANADIAN company, and I absolutely love their mission statement, and everything they stand for.  Thank you so much Kiki for having me as a part of your incredibly talented team!!  I am looking forward to the next 6 months!

Some Dear Lizzy and G45

I have been having lots of fun with my lastest haul from the Nook.  Wow!  Are these G45 collections ever cool!  I've made a few cards this morning, and also did a rare for me double page layout with Dear Lizzy!

I don't often do double page layouts, but I have to admit, I love how this one turned out!  It's simple, and kinda clean...except for the inking. lol
You can always click on the photos for a large view!

Some cards made from the 8" bordwalk Graphic 45 pad.  I love this line...so fun!!

New stuff!

I have been playing along on the Scrapfan facebook group with a challenge that Corinne threw out there and a few that I've issues as well. I was missing the FNC's as much as she was I think. lol
The first card here is for Corinne's challenge to use at least two stamps.  I used a new to me Cornish Heritage Farms stamp and my Prima Butterfly again.  That's the new G45 gentlemen line paper behind the tag. It's in store now at the Nook.  The second card is for my challenge to use BG and Prima together with some bling.  My BG is Nook and Pantry, my Prima is the bird stamp and the bling is Kaiser.  Lots of distress ink on both of these!

Now for my second challenge I just issued. ..to use springy green and light blue on a layout or card. I found these pics of my backyard last May and decided to use them on here!  This is all new Kaiser Devonshire paper...absolutely beautiful stuff!!  I used Kaiser bling again and some old Prima flowers from my stash.  Also, my title is an old MME rubon.  More distress inks here too.

And for a few others I've been playing with...

I'm not in love with this one, but it's one more done for the album. lol  I apparently still do struggle with AC. lol

Thanks for stopping by!

Playing with AC Letterbox

My DT kit from the Scrapping Nook for March was the lovely AC letterbox line!
I have to admit, I'm not usually huge on AC, nor am I big on pastels in abundance, so when my sister Karen told me I was playing with this line, and that it was full of 'pretty pastels' I was worried....a lot.  But then I laid eyes on it, and I fell in love! lol

These two were from my first play time with the kit.  When I think of American Crafts, I think clean lines, and rounded corners.  So that's the fell of these two.
Then I started to revert back to my getting inky and grungy style.  ...and You know what?  This AC can totally take that kind of abuse! lol
My Serioulsy Cute little man here is showcased with some wickedly smooched Shimmerz little pots, blingz, shimmerz, AND pearlz...and some shimmerz spritz too!  Then I stamped my awesome Harmonie GIANT ledger stamp down, added a rubon, some strips, a label I cut from one of the letterbox pp's and made a little pinwheel.  ;0)

With this one I got into some paint.  :0)

This is my favourite of the kit.  I love love love the flush on my little girls cheeks in this picture, and I'm also having a secret love affair with my new Prima stamps.  SEe those butterflies, the bird and the frame she's sitting in?  ALL PRIMA STAMPS...the whole set is less than $8 and includes all of these, PLUS another butterfly, a bird nest with eggs, and 3 or 4 little flowers...Unbelievable value!

A few quick and super easy cards with some of the rubons from my kit.

And because I couldn't resist, a little set of 4" cards I made using the Prima stamp set! ;0)
I know the Nook is going to be re-stocking these babies, so keep your eyes peeled there in the store!

Thanks for looking, and Happy March Break to you all! :0)
